How to Convert a Portrait Photo into SVG & DXF Cutting Files

Over the past few months of blogging and working with Cricut & Cameo Silhouette users, I have noticed that many of you attempted to make SVG cut file from portrait photos of your loved ones, or pets.
Online converter do amazing job in terms of converting simple designs (such as logos with solid colors), but not so much with complex images. What if I told you that you can do this fairly easy by using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator?
